66th ANNUAL MEMBERS EXHIBIT
October 25 – November 24, 2024

Dates to Keep:

Receiving – Sun, Oct 13, 5-6:30 pm and Mon, Oct 14, 10-noon
Opening Reception – Fri, Oct 25, 7-9 pm
Gallery Hours – After Oct 25, Fri, Sat, Sun, 1-5 pm
Return – Sun, Nov 24, 5-6:30 pm & Mon, Nov 25, 10-noon

Awards: Selected by Jenna Erwin, Project Manager, Asian Art Museum of San Francisco.
In addition to cash awards, 4 Exhibition Awards will be designated for a special Art Guild of Pacifica exhibit in the Main Gallery during the 2024 Annual
Members Exhibit.

Sales: Artists may have their work for sale, or not (NFS,) as they choose. Sanchez Art Center, as the artist’s representative, will retain a 30% commission on any work sold. Sold work will remain in place for the duration of the exhibit. Work “Not for Sale” shall be marked NFS.

Congratulations 50|50 Artists!

We would like to take a moment to congratulate the AGP members who were accepted into this year’s 50|50 Exhibition!

Also, we wanted to take a moment to congratulate three of our members who made it into the Left Coast Annual exhibit! They are Emily Holland, Deborah Corsini and Barbara Kibbe. Great job, Folks! That show will of course be at Sanchez Art Center, from April 14 to May 21. 

Also our member Andrew Leone has another show coming up at City College, THE BEGINNING, MIDDLE & ….” an exhibit of paintings and prints. It runs April 3 – May 11.

CFE for 64th Annual Members Exhibit

64th Annual Members Exhibit is coming around the bend. Here are the dates to save, and the CFE.

Receiving – PLEASE NOTE: Thursday, Oct 13, 5-6:30 pm and Friday, Oct 14, 10-noon No entries accepted after receiving closes Fri, 12 pm.

If you are unable to drop-off artwork during receiving, please make arrangement for someone to drop-off artwork for you.

Opening Reception – Fri, Oct 21, 7-9 pm (State & San Mateo County health guidelines permitting, check ArtGuildofPacifica.org for updates)

Return –Sun, Nov 20, 5-6:30 pm & Mon, Nov 21, 10-noon All entries must be signed out and removed from the Sanchez Art Center by Nov 21, 12 pm.

Artists not picking up their artwork may be charged $10/day, payable to Sanchez Art Center. Artwork not picked up after thirty days becomes the property of Sanchez Art Center.

We invite you to participate in this year’s Member Show! We are happy to announce that DeWitt Cheng will be the juror this year. He was formerly the curator at Peninsula Museum of Art, and currently works as an independent/freelance curator and art writer.

Art That Inspires Us, Call for Entry

CALLING ALL ART GUILD MEMBERS!

We are trying something a little different. Share your art collection! It can be your own work or someone else’s that you have hanging in your own home. Curate pieces that work well together and give the “exhibit” a name. Guidelines are detailed below.

AGP Members’ Art Collections Virtual Exhibition

Art That Inspires Us
June 6 – June 27

Deadline for Submission- June 2, 2020 7pm

Instructions:

1. Curate a new or showcase an existing “mini” exhibition of your own.
Assemble a few pieces of your favorite art (your own or other’s) or look anew at a single piece or current assemblage in your home or studio that inspires you. Photograph your “exhibit”.

Include your name, theme and title of your exhibition. Your theme and title can be the same (see attached example).
Theme examples: figures; sunsets
Title examples: Impossible Poses; Sunsets Beyond Orange
Add artwork information: artist name, title of artworks, medium (make sure to give credit to the artists)

2. Email your mini exhibitions as a jpeg or pdf to agp.artguild@gmail.com.

If you have trouble adding text to your photo, please include text in the body of your email and we will design for you, time permitting. If you know you will need help, please get your submission in early so that we have enough time to help, at least 24 hours required.

No one knows what the future holds at this time, but we are tentatively scheduling our next show, Pathways & Journeys.
