Sanchez Art Center’s upcoming plein air ‘paint outs’ – “Along the Ohlone-Portola Trail”

Message from Cindy Abbott  about upcoming plein air paint-outs and exhibit:
Do you enjoy painting from nature? Then you are invited to participate in three plein air paint-outs being held by Sanchez Art Center.

The outcome of the paint-outs will be an invitation to submit work to be considered for an exhibit in the East Gallery at Sanchez Art Center later this year. The paint-outs and subsequent exhibit are titled Along the Ohlone-Portola Trail in recognition of the 250th anniversary of the Spanish discovery of San Francisco Bay (a historic event that is celebrated in early November). Work will need to be painted at the paint-out on the actual date of the session, or at least begun then (completing in the studio is okay).

Bring your own art supplies. The first paint-out is on Sunday, Feb 24, 9:30 am–2:30 pm, at Rockaway Beach. The second paint-out is on Sunday, Mar 10, 9:30 am–2:30 pm at Pacifica State Beach, Linda Mar. (The third session is not yet scheduled, so stay tuned.)
