Dear AGP Artists,
I am sorry to bear the sad news of the passing of Kathy Dybeck.
She passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, surrounded by family.
Kathy’s artist statement says, “Care for your creativity—Make time for art often.” She cared not only for her own creativity, but for the creativity of others as well. Kathy has been a long-time member of the Art Guild of Pacifica, volunteering to gallery sit and, in years past, participating as a board member. She also generously opened her home and studio to other artists so they could make time for their creativity, too. She held artist boutiques and art shows in her home to support and highlight local artists. Kathy was a printmaker, textile artist, and more. Most recently she called her work mixed media. If you would like to view her work, please visit www.kathydybeck.com.
Condolences to those of you who loved Kathy, too.
Sincerely, Kristina Ayala
Rick Lucia – moved to Oregon
Bit belated farewell to long time Art Guild Member Rick Lucia.
Here’s post from Rick on Facebook:
My experience with the Art Guild of Pacifica has been so enjoyable – volunteering at the Sanchez Art Center, Fog Fest, being on the board of directors, so rewarding!
Then this huge boost to my (artistic) confidence, being awarded an exhibition with three of my peers! I’m so going to miss my friends at the Art Guild and Sanchez Art Center. ❤️
