About The Art Guild Of Pacifica

The Art Guild of Pacifica mission is to increase the awareness and appreciation of artists and their works. The Guild has supported and promoted artists in Pacifica and surrounding areas by sponsoring art exhibitions since it was founded in 1958.

In 1996, Art Guild of Pacifica found a permanent home at the Sanchez Art Center, which was created from the old Sanchez Elementary School on Linda Mar Boulevard. Our group exhibits are usually on display in the West Gallery, except during the Annual Members Show and Winter Art Faire, when all galleries at the art center are filled with artwork by members.On scheduled Wednesday evenings, members have informal Artist Gatherings in the Main Gallery, and the 150+ members contribute to Sanchez Art Center by volunteering as gallery attendants on Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons.We are an all volunteer organization and welcome new members.

Art Library

One benefit of membership is the AGP-SAC Art Library. There are over 800 donated art books for your reading pleasure on bookshelves in the Front Office. A few books that tie into the current show may be featured in the window next to the reception desk. Art Library books may be borrowed during Gallery hours by signing out on the clipboard next to the bookshelves, and signing in when returned. 

Shop on the Shelf

During every Art Guild group exhibit, small artworks, postcards, notecard, artist books, etc. of three members are featured in the Shop on the Shelf. If you are interested in participating contact Daniele Derenzi at danielesphotos@msn.com
