This is but an impression, a few details, of the 65th Annual Awards Exhibition, featuring four artists who won the Exhibition Award of Excellence during the 65th Annual Members Show in 2023. Nancy Mizuno Elliot, San Francisco City College Arts Professor and Curator of City College Art Gallery, selected these winners last year as juror of the Members Show, and also curated this exhibit.

These abstract drawings represent the stages of grief. Inked by hand, each line is a repetition of the first initial of the loved one who is mourned. Each is accompanied by a poem, though we include only one example here.
